Ghanaian Highlife musician, George Randy Mensah Nunoo known by the stage name Randy Nunoo has said he wish to be GHAMRO chairman and a member of parliament in Ghana some day.

Randy unraveled his widest dream on BREEZE 90.9 Fm’s friday Special news segment for industry persons ‘WHERE ARE THEY’ as he was responding to a question on the way forward since his 6years break from the music scene.

“I want to say that I am happy and hopeful that the new Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) board has started very well and I urge every musician to take advatage but I want to state that I aspire to being GHAMRO chairman in future” he said.

“Most musicians have asked me to pick forms for the next election for the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) presidency and that they will vote for me but I told them no, GHAMRO is my target because I have great ideas that will help the organization” he added.

Randy lost the seat of 2nd vice chairman of GHAMRO to Nana Tuffour James in an election held earlier this year to elect a 13 member board who will oversee the collection and distribution of royalties for right owners in the country.

Furthermore, Randy Nunoo made his intentions to join the political train of Ghana known saying ” I also have an aspiration of becoming a politician too thus to become a member of Parliament”.

Randy Nunoo started his music career in church at the age of 14years where he also became the choir leader and went solo with the release of his first album ‘Me nida osoro’ in 1986. He then went into highlife music in 1992 with the release of his second album ‘Philomena’.

Randy Nunoo now has 13 albums to his credit and has been in the industry for about 30years. He is however expected by his own comfirmation set to release 2 new singles before the end of 2015.
