LISTEN UP: COMEDIAN TURN MUSICIAN- DKB RELEASES VIMYAAZO
The unpredictable King of comedy DKB is at it again, this time with a usual twist; music. The song titled ‘vimyaazo’ is a groovy afro beat genre that features sound engineer Appietus’ rap protege Don Itchi and sweet music singer Al’ova had him poking fun at his head and other showbiz personalities.
Bola ray, KSM, Shatta wale were among the first ones he picked on when he created an imaginary country of his own he called ‘DKB republic’ and the possible political offices these persons might occupy based on their brands and image. He referred to himself as ‘head of state’ reiterating the fact that he doubles as president and the biggest head of the state, funny enough. He went on to refer to his long time boss Bola Ray as the ‘headmaster’ of the Republic, KSM being the Accra mayor, Edem as Hogbetsotso MP, whilst Minister of women affairs was Joey B and Pappy Kojo.
Countless other personalities ranging from Obinim, Afia Schwarzenegger, Flowking stone, were given various offices in the ‘DKB republic’ administration. This hilarious song has got many industry persons and the general public reeling from laughter. He is undoubtedly receiving a lot of praise for creating a song that eases tensions.
Following our frequent checks, we caught up with him to explain further the reason and motive behind this song, he said ” The song is simply a funny song to ease people from tensions from showbiz beefs, politics etc. No one should take it personal because every name i mentioned in the song is my personal person. I urge all Ghanaians to download and enjoy the song because there no better person laughing at us than ourselves. Plus everyone should please support ‘DKB republic’ for all you know we could win elections this year one day.
