LAUGH BUZZ AFRICA COMEDY AWARDS LAUNCHED IN ACCRA

The Laugh Buzz Africa Limited has launched its maiden awards scheme today at the High Gates Hotel in Asylum down, Accra Ghana.

Laugh buzz African comedy awards is an entertainment life style event which contents in the award include features, interviews with comedians, celebrity and industry players across the African continent.

It is an award that is set to bring Africa comedians together on one platform to be awarded according to their hard work. The company however chooses Ghana as a place to launch its first ever edition.

According to the Laugh Buzz Africa Limited the award will generate excitement and enthusiasm among both young and the young at heart community and it is the first and only pan- African comedy award in existence.

Speaking at the launch, Timothy Felix explained the aim and objective of the award saying the award is to add value to Africa comedy in entertainment and to bring all African comedians together on one platform to celebrate them as well.

The PRO of Laugh Buzz Africa limited, Jemima Sackey then shared the criteria for the awards saying it will be a 90% votes from the public and 10% by the judges to over look the awards.

In attendance also was the co-CEO of the awards, Mr. Atsu Francis. He also emphasized on how the voting for this awards was going to be saying it was going to be an online voting scheme where the public will be provided with a website by the event organizers then they can follow and vote for their favorite comedian.

There are ten (10) categories which the award has composed. They are as follows:

*Laugh Buzz- Promising Comedian of the Year

*Laugh Buzz Standup Comedian of the Year

*Laugh Buzz International Comedian of the Year

*Laugh Buzz Male Comedian of the Year

*Laugh Buzz Female Comedian of the Year

*Laugh Buzz Humanitarian Award

*Laugh Buzz Honoring Award

*Laugh Buzz Africa Comic Movie of the Year

*Laugh Buzz Africa Comic TV Show of the Year

*Laugh Buzz Africa Comic Actor of the Year

The main event however will come off on the 28th of November 2015 at the national theatre with several comedians commencing to the capital of Ghana, Accra and then the award will rotate yearly to other countries since the scheme is a Pan-African event to honor comedians.
