FINALLY: NII BI OPENS UP ON ‘KLALA’ BREAK UP
In Ghana most solo musicians sprout out of musical groups or bands thus break ups or separations are meant to come.
In several reasons giving by members of separated groups (based on the Ghana music industry) could be money issues, family, and women and so on. It is always difficult to received even reasons on why a group separates.
Love Adjetey Adjei a.k.a Nii Bi of ‘Klala’ the traditional music trio fame has stated that the group broke up due to misunderstanding of one member on their way of dressing.
Klala was made up of two Ga’s, Daniel Neequaye Kotey a.k.a Klala and Love Adjetey Adjei a.k.a Nii Bi with one Ewe, Edem Agbeglo a.k.a Lyff Angels, they hence realized the one time hit traditional song “Nye he ye fe” after winning the Nescafe Africa Revelation reality show.
Speaking on BREEZE 90.9 FM newscasters, Nana Yaw Berko he explained that lyff was not happy with the typical traditional dress they wore as their trademark.
“There was a misunderstanding between us because Lyff thought our dressing was idol worshipping but we tried to explain that it was the Ga culture. He wanted us to go the western way which we were not ready to so he left” he added.
He however blamed the whole break up on the devil saying we have to blame the devil and the misunderstanding we had.
“Klala my brother and I, what happened between us was a mutual understanding not as the public heard that we separated because of women or money” he said.
Meanwhile, Nii Bi is still recording songs as a solo artistes as well as Klala but Lyff is yet to be heard from after his single “la la la”.
