The Ghana chapter of the ECOWAS community Development Programme (CDP) has today Thursday 20th January, 2015 paid a courtesy visit to the  of the Ghana’s Interior Ministry at its National Headquarters, Accra.

The ECOWAS community Development Programme (CDP) is a response to the adoption of the vision 2020.The (ECOWAS), to transform the West African sub-region into borderless region where citizens create and benefit from business opportunities for sustainable production by exploiting the enormous resources of the sub- region.
The CDP have formed media network among the 15 member countries of the sub-region to help create awareness and educate citizens about the integration process. Membership consists of members from credible media organizations poised to help create awareness and educate citizens about the integration process.

In this case, Ghana’s chapter of the network constitutes a core of Ghanaian journalist from different media organizations with Mr. Francis Tuffour of the Ghanaian Times Newspaper as their President. Among other objectives, the group is aiming to use the media to educate citizens about the borderless West Africa and engaging in the reportage that brings out the situation on the ground.

To ensure peace and security, the CDP cannot do without the Interior Ministry hence their visit to the outfit.
