ALLIANCE FRANCAISE TO HOST MAY EDITION OF WOMEN’S EXPO GHANA, 2016
Organisers of the Women’s Lifestyle Expo Ghana, an event platform specially tailored to bring together businesses and individuals who market products and services targeted at women have announced that this year’s event will be held in May and December.
The May event will be held at the Alliance Francaise, Accra on May 20 & 21 and the December event, dubbed the “Christmas Special Edition” at the Du Bois Centre, Accra.
The maiden event, which was organised in partnership with African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) was successfully held in October, 2015 at the same venue, Alliance Francaise, Accra where 72 local exhibitors, three foreign exhibitors, two from Cote d’Ivoire and one from Togo participated. It attracted over 3000 visitors. The visitors to last year’s event were made up of women’s associations from corporate institutions, women’s trade associations, women’s religious associations, student groups from tertiary and vocational institutions, the expatriate community and the media.
The Event Director, Nana Adwoa Kwegyir-Aggrey in a statement said, “Just as last year’s event, we intend to provide a distinctive and a more affordable platform for female business owners, especially emerging ones to present their products, services and businesses in person.
They will also have the opportunity to meet new potential clients and explore new business areas and gradually build community of women who will meet and use the platform for networking, knowledge sharing and trading. She advised that businesses and individuals should not only focus on using the platform for sales but also consider using the platform for marketing activities like sampling, demonstrations, product launches a & activation and market research.

The event will take place on Accra on Friday, 20th and Saturday, 21 May, 2016 at Alliance Française Accra. This event is aimed at providing a unique, convenient, relaxing and exciting environment for visitors to sample new products and recipes, learn and indulge in latest trends in fashion, beauty, skin care, health, wellness programmes and shop in the market place of unique products and services.
